New Martins Email Policy

When we supply email addresses, we supply them under Inferred or Deemed Consent. The information being sent to the recipient is relevant and relates to their industry or job role. This is reasonably subjective but as many of our databases are very specialised and targeted, this is typically not difficult for us to gauge. There also needs to be a functional Unsubscribe and clear identification of who is sending the email.

Since the introduction of the new Act, we will now only supply our email data if we know who will actually be sending out the email message and that it will fully comply with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act. Along with us, there are a number of firms that specalise in sending out emails on your behalf.

Post Codes and NZ Post Discounts

When NZ Post first announced the new Post Code changes in 2006, it seemed a long time for businesses to update their databases. But as the deadline for the new Post Codes to become mandatory is on the 1st July 2008, the time is fast approaching. This will particularly affect businesses who use bulk mail services.

If you plan to update your Post Codes we suggest you programme this work over the Christmas period when your staff are on holiday.
